Getting started

Yes. Beginners are taught separately from experienced players, and you start with the room and your ears before any theory: how the guitar should sound, how to hold time, how to make one note feel good. The theory arrives later, when it explains something you have already heard.

That is who most of the site is written for. Being stuck is rarely a shortage of scales — it is usually tone, touch, time or phrasing. Sessions start from a sound you want and work backwards to what your hands need to change, which tends to move players who have plateaued on exercises.

Yes. The first session is a free trial, in the room in Mohali or online. Bring the tone, the song or the player you are chasing. You play a little, we work on it together, and you leave with a first practice plan. If it is not for you, that is the end of it.

Message Lovem on WhatsApp at +91 97799 59940, say what you want to work on, and pick a time between 9 AM and 10 PM IST. You can also DM on Instagram or send a note from the booking page.

No. Everything is given as shapes and voicings you can play, and the structure of a song is laid out section by section. Theory is taught — just second, not first, and never as complicated terms for their own sake.

How sessions work

You bring a sound — a record, a riff, a tone you cannot name. One listen and we work out what is under the hood: the voicings, the touch, where it sits against the time. Then we get it under your fingers. The session follows that sound rather than a fixed syllabus.

Three things, after every session: a recording of what was played, so you can hear it back; a voicing sheet for the chords and shapes used; and a practice plan for the week.

As often as suits you: once, twice or three times a week, on weekdays and weekends. You can start with one session a week and add more later. The rate depends on how often you come, so more regular students pay a different rate — ask Lovem for the current one.

Tone, phrasing, voicings, time, improvisation, dynamics and ear training — in whatever proportion the sound you are after calls for.

One-on-one, where the plan is built around your ears and your pace; or a small group of three to four who play together every week, which teaches the things you cannot learn alone — rhythm against another player, listening, leaving space.

Yes. Send a song you love and you get a full breakdown by ear: the voicings, the chords, the feel and the structure. It is done by ear rather than by software, because software can guess a chord name but not which voicing the player chose or why the part feels the way it does.

The room in Mohali

SCO No. 24, MC Building, Basement, District One, Sector 68, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali), Punjab 160062. It is in the basement of the MC Building in District One, Sector 68.

You choose. Any slot between 9 AM and 10 PM IST can be booked, on weekdays and weekends, which makes it workable around school, college or a job.

No. The room has amps and a couple of guitars. If you own a guitar, bring it — it is better to learn on the instrument you will practise on.

A video teaches your fingers. A room teaches your ears: you hear what the amp does when you dig in, how your chord sits against another player, what the reverb tail is doing. And someone hears you — which a video never does.

Online sessions

Live and one-on-one, with two camera angles so both hands are properly visible, and low-latency audio so tone and timing come through. You get the same recording, voicing sheet and practice plan afterwards.

A guitar, and anything that makes it audible — an amp, an audio interface, or an acoustic in a quiet room. A phone or laptop with a camera does the rest.

Yes, from anywhere. Slots run between 9 AM and 10 PM IST (Indian Standard Time, UTC+5:30), so pick one that lands at a sensible hour where you are.

Yes.

Cost & payment

The first session is free. After that it depends on the format — one-on-one or small group — and on how often you come: once, twice or three times a week. It runs in monthly blocks. Message Lovem on WhatsApp and he will tell you the current rate for what you want.
